When you arrive at the Luana Kai and see the lush, green landscaping, breathe the fresh air, and hear the sound of the tropical birds, you'll begin to relax and experience the magic of this very special place.

You will be welcomed by the spacious feel of the high ceilings and open floorplan. You'll walk into a view of the ocean and palm trees as you pass from the living room to the lanai. The condo is decorated in tropical style, with modern conveniences such as A/C and high-speed internet to make your stay a comfortable one. The kitchen and bathrooms were remodeled in 2010 with beautiful new cabinets, granite counters, stainless steel appliances and fixtures. New shower tile and fixtures were added in 2011. The Luana Kai resort is oceanfront, so you don't even have to cross the road for windsurfing, kayaking, or to enjoy a long, relaxing walk on the beach. In the winter, Luana Kai visitors may catch a glimpse of the humpback whales as they migrate along the South Maui coast.

The living room has a partial ocean view and includes a queen sleeper/sofa and a 42-inch plasma TV. There is a collection of DVD movies in the condo for you and your family to enjoy, as well as Hawaiian music to help promote the feeling of aloha during your stay. There is a table and several comfortable chairs on the large lanai. For those guests who need to stay connected to work or family, our condo has free wireless high-speed internet, accessible only by our guests (password-protected for your security.) We also provide a land line telephone inside the condo for guests to make free calls to the U.S. and Canada during their stay.

The fully remodeled kitchen is adjacent to the living room, separated by a sitting bar. All appliances are new in 2010, including a large refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water dispenser, oven/stove, microwave, and dishwasher for your convenience. The condo is fully stocked with kitchen and laundry supplies for your stay. We added a new full size washer and dryer to the condo recently. This allows you to pack less clothes for lighter luggage -- helpful for today's airline restrictions.

The master bedroom, newly furnished in 2010, is in the loft with a king size bed and private full bath. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with a full bath just steps away. Both bedrooms have full dressers and large closets to help make your stay more comfortable. The bathrooms are fully stocked for your stay, including a blow dryer in each.

There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms as well as in the living room and kitchen. Although the trade breezes keep the condo comfortable, there is energy-efficient air conditioning for those extra warm days.

Bring your shorts, sandals and suntan lotion and be prepared to enjoy your home away from home in one of the most beautiful places on earth! There are so many things to do on Maui -- snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, enjoying a sunrise at Haleakala, or just exploring the sights and restaurants on the island. The Road to Hana is an all day adventure through the tropical rainforest, well worth it -- be sure to bring a camera to capture the waterfalls and natural beauty of the island. Visit historic Lahaina and experience a luau, or take in a concert at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.
