When you arrive at the Luana Kai and see the lush, green landscaping, breathe the fresh air, and hear the sound of the tropical birds, you'll begin to relax and experience the magic of this very special place.

You will be welcomed by the spacious feel of the high ceilings and open floorplan. You'll walk into a view of the ocean and palm trees as you pass from the living room to the lanai. The condo is tastefully decorated in the tradition of old Hawaii, but with modern conveniences to make your stay a comfortable one. The Luana Kai resort is right on the beach, so you don't even have to cross the road for windsurfing, kayaking, or to enjoy a long, relaxing walk on the beach. In the winter, Luana Kai visitors may catch a glimpse of the humpback whales as they migrate along the South Maui coast.

The living room seats 6 and includes a queen sleeper/sofa and several large wicker chairs. There is a collection of DVD movies in the condo for you and your family to enjoy, as well as Hawaiian music to help promote the feeling of aloha during your stay. There is a table and several comfortable chairs on the large lanai. For those guests who need to stay connected to work or family, there is high-speed internet available at no cost inside the condo, and wireless access available throughout the resort for a small fee.

The full kitchen is adjacent to the living room, separated by a sitting bar. There is a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot, blender, and a full stock of dishes and utensils. Next to the kitchen is a washer and dryer for your convenience. The condo is fully stocked with kitchen and laundry supplies for your stay. We added a new full size washer and dryer to the condo recently. This allows you to reduce the amount of clothing you need to bring, making for lighter luggage -- helpful for today's airline restrictions.

The master bedroom is in the loft with a king size bed and private full bath. The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed with a full bath just steps away. The bathrooms are fully stocked for your stay.

There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms as well as in the living room. Although the trade breezes keep the condo comfortable, air conditioning has been installed recently for those extra warm days.

Bring your shorts, sandals and suntan lotion and be prepared to enjoy your home away from home in one of the most beautiful places on earth! There are so many things to do on Maui -- snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, enjoying a sunrise at Haleakala, or just exploring the island. The Road to Hana is an all day adventure through the tropical rainforest, well worth it -- be sure to bring a camera to capture the waterfalls and natural beauty of the island. Visit historic Lahaina and experience an old-fashioned Luau.
